WILD FLOWERS AND THE LAW
All plants are protected by law in the British Isles including more than 150
species which are afforded special protection.
It is an offence to do the
following:
1. Destroy, or uproot any wild plant, unless this is accidental or
permission has been given by the owner or occupier of the land.
2. Pick any of the specially protected plants, possess any part of them, or
to advertise them for sale.
Wild flowers are best observed in their natural environment where they can
grow, mature and reproduce. This allows others to come and enjoy their
beauty.
